Dont attack just observe, unless told otherwise.
There are four ways to make money in jonai and in the game as a whole. Combat - Do bounty hunting in the Resource Extraction sites (REZ) or Do some Killing in a combat zone but make sure you pick a side. Trading - Go to Eddb.io and Find a Trade Route that pays well. You can use this tool https://eddb.io/trade/loops Exploration - This will mean you will have to leave jonai but it´s a good way to make some money and to see some sexy looking systems. Community Goals are always a good way to make money. They are easy too and not to hard to get to.
We picked Jonai because it's a great system with lots of ways to make money. It's also out of the way from the other big factions so we will not get in the way of other factions (less is more, well in some cases)

Watch this Youtube Video to help you also remember there are Tutorials in the Game on the main menu.
Buy fuel scoop and then when you are close enough to star you will see your heat and fuel bars, keep your ship close enough to a star and in reasonable heat level and wait for fuel tank to fill ;) sometimes you will automatically start scooping right after you exit hyperspace. simple as that
In case you are wondering how to pick a side in a conflict zone, the correct way of doing it is by entering the conflict zone, then accessing the FUNCTIONS tab on the right HUD menu (Yes, the same tab where you can manually turn on lights, retract cargo scoop etc...) The very first option (FACTION) should now allow you to pick a side. Once you do this, all ships will turn red and green accordingly and you will automatically collect bounties on red kills.
Watch this Youtube Video to help youand if you dont have many friends online you are welcome to add SirSuperDeath ingame or some other CMDRS from the Facebook Group (remember SirSuperDeath will not accept you if you dont come on Teamspeak)

Firstly you can join Teamspeak. Discord there might be someone that is playing elite dangerous on there that wants to wing up if not you can always check Inara or Facebook if all else doesn't work sit in your ship and drink Tea (That's what i do)

As long as there's no reason to have it sitting on the surface ALWAYS send it into orbit. You can recall it any time and you don't have to be afraid that it gets shot to pieces on the surface.
If you want to drop out of supercruise at the entrance side of a Station, approach from the inside of it's orbit since the entrance is mostly pointed towards the body it´s orbiting.
Get yourself AFMs (Auto field maintenance units) Scooping stars - and especially using neutron star boosts will damage your ship bit by bit. So if you plan to leave the bubble for a while, get as many as you can and also mind that you can reload them with materials you find on bodies. That´s how you survive out there for as long as you need if you watch it!
If you don't watch it, you might end up with modules that consume more energy than your ship can support. Always have a look at the capabilities of your ship in delivering power and better upgrade those first before you crank up the damage or shield power of your ship!
If you recently picked up cargo from shot down ships, chances are good that you picked up "illicit cargo". Mind that certain factions have different fews on what is "illicit" though
There are Two ways to gain a system permit. You Get some specific system permits Via Ranking up with the Empire, Federation and Alliance. To Get a System permit that the Major powers don't give. You will have to make friends with the controlling faction near said system. System Permit List is Here
Mostly because you tried to rush things. Approach Elite with the pace of a regular MMO and not of a space shooter. Build up ties with systems you think are profitable for you by running missions. That will provide better paid missions in the future. Grind your way through to engineer - up your modules to be more capable and efficient. Even though the are random loopholes from time to time that might get you a progress boost, chances are good that if you get cocky space will put you back into your place.
Eddb.ioAt this Site you can find all of the things that you want. (ALL OF THEM!!!)
